2010 Gauteng Schools Challenge

This will be an interschool challenge held in Gauteng in the first two terms of 2010. Top players will get to play against celebrities at the celebrity tournament in April.

Open to all high schools in Gauteng . Other provinces that are close to Gauteng may enter but will need to travel to Jhb for interschool events.

World Youth Scrabble Championships

These will be held in Manila, Philipines in Dec 2010. ScrabbleSA had no representatives at the 2009 competition but would like to send a few in 2010. Please contact Garth for details on qualifying. Players must be born after 01 January 1993.

Heilbron Schools' Scrabble Workshop (Free State)

A 2 day workshop was held in Heilbron in 2009 for several schools in the area. A great time was had and some real talent identified. Some of the players played in the Benoni Tournament and are now rated and on their way to the top. We hope to hold a tournament in Heilbron in early 2010.
